service.

1. The service

EasySecretBallot.com provides software to conduct secret-ballot elections. You are responsible for how you use it, including the accuracy of your voter list and compliance with your own bylaws and applicable law.

2. Your responsibilities

• You confirm you are authorized to run elections for your organization and to upload its members' information.
• You are responsible for the legal validity of your election, including required notices, nominations, eligibility determinations, and observer rights.
• You will safeguard your account credentials, two-factor device, and teller passphrases. Lost teller passphrases cannot be recovered and will make an election's results unrecoverable.
• You will not use the platform to deceive voters, suppress eligible votes, or misrepresent results.

3. Payments

Election credits are sold at the price shown, processed by Stripe. Credits are consumed when an election is created. Refunds for unused credits are available on request; email help@easysecretballot.com.

4. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to breach the platform's security, access data belonging to other customers, disrupt the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. Availability & disclaimers

We work to keep the service available and correct but provide it "as is," without warranties beyond those required by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

6. Compliance

The platform is designed to support the technical requirements of the LMRDA and related election-secrecy standards, but you remain responsible for your election's legal compliance. For matters requiring approval (e.g. IAFF Legal Department review of an electronic platform for secret-ballot matters), obtaining that approval is your responsibility.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, preserving election records as law requires.
